Adulting Gear: Liquid Leap Active by Acer

October 8, 2017

I didn’t intend to post a review on any gadgets or whatever because it’s not my cup of tea, not unless they are geeky gadgets for gaming and stuff that prolly be posted on vi-geeky.com.

Last October 2, 2017, I got to attend TECHnomy Forum that tackles about Technology and Economics brought by Acer Philippines and Microsoft Philippines. They also introduced to us their latest gaming rig, the Predator Triton 700 which you can read on my geek blog.

As a token, we were given a Liquid Leap Active by Acer which is a fitness band with a bit of smartwatch functionality. As an adult currently struggling in adult, I believe that the most important thing to watch is not my savings or my career but health.

The problem here is I don’t like wearing any accessories at all. I’m lowkey because I’m a bit careless. I wore a 20-something karat ring but I lost it while swimming, I can’t sleep wearing earing. The last time I wore a watch was when I was in the third grade, I always forget that I am wearing a wristwatch and ended up soaking wet. This time I might consider being extra careful because I decided to wear this Liquid Leap Active fitness band by Acer.

Olango Island: Appreciating Marine Life on a Rainy Weather

September 26, 2017

I thought I wouldn’t enjoy yesterday because of the weather. It was raining. It has been raining for almost a week already, causing floods all over Cebu. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate this kind of weather, as a matter of fact, I love it, I wouldn’t use AC or the electric fan too much and I could sleep peacefully and comfortably during the day as I work at night. But if you have a planned trip which feels better if the weather is fine and sunny, you just wish that doing the sun dance is freaking effective but I WAS TOTALLY WRONG, rain did not change what’s going on under the sea, and the sea is even calm and warm. Rain or shine life goes on underwater.

Yesterday, I experienced few first time moments. One is riding a motor boat knowing that the weather is not good, I would usually backed out because yes, I am chicken and I don’t know how to swim despite after taking swimming lessons during Red Cross Youth days. Two, snorkeling. I haven’t use a snorkel in my life and I am glad I found out how to use it on my own; of course I’m wearing a life vest because swimming is not life.

There’s always a room for groufie. With Le Former Teammates-ssu!

Bigger groufie with TL’s current team. #LabanLang

Yesterday, together with former teammates, we joined with our former Team Leader’s with his current team on a team outing. They originally planned to go to Camotes Island but a lot of things came up and ended up in going to Olango Island/Marine Sanctuary. Continue Reading…

Adulting Realization: Pillow Talk

August 11, 2017
The first pillow I bought for myself gave me a random realization. I don’t know if I’m just being sentimental or what. This is just supposed to be one of those moments you want to post a status on facebook but you wrote a lengthy one already and just decided to make it a blog post.

10,000 Roses Cafe in Cebu

March 11, 2017

Last month, 10,000 Roses Café had it’s soft opening and Cebuanos flocked over to Cordova to visit the said cafe, it became so trending and now one of the tourist attraction.  This cafe is located in Cordova, Cebu almost an hour away to Cebu City (I don’t know if it’s less traffic). It’s just beside the floating restaurant, Lantaw. It was inspired by Dongdaemun Design Plaza’s LED Rose Garden in Seoul Korea. Korea’s version has a lot more of roses but nonetheless, Cebu’s version is so magical already. (How much more in Korean, mga oppa nako!)

So we went there unplanned because well, what to do when bored, right? It was like a friend messaged you, “let’s laag? where? basta!” and poof! So Yassi and I decided to meet at Parkmall. Continue Reading…

5 Reasons Why You Should Try The Rope Course Adventure | Mountain View Nature’s Park

October 26, 2016

“Do it because it’s fun,” They said. “It’s really easy,” They added. After experiencing the Rope Course Adventure, YES, it was fun BUT it wasn’t as easy as what they have said.

I’m the indoor type of person, I love staying at home, drinking tea while reading a good book/manga or eating noodles while watching Korean dramas, anime or whatever series that caught my interest. But I’m always up for any challenge; I go hiking once in a while, just so you know and I also want to climb more mountains and try extreme adventures as well. So, last month Team Leader Rod and our ever pretty Support Miss Cai brought us to Mountain View Nature s Park for some stress-releasing activities and yes taking up the Rope Course Adventure is one of them.

It wasn’t an easy challenge but here are my reasons why you should still try the Rope Course Adventure if ever you decided to visit Cebu. I hope this will motivate you in some sort, coming from a not so sporty lady.

Café Amidala: Sudden Trip with the Dorks

August 1, 2016

After our work shift last Friday, we had a scrumptious lunch at Yatskie near Capitol, special thanks to our TL for treating us. It’s my first time eating on Yakski and their barbecue was really good. So much for that, I wrote this post for a certain reason and that is to feature the very first Star Wars themed café in the Philippines and yes, it is in Cebu—Amidala Café!

Been itching to visit but I don’t know where and how to get there. After our lunch Hydie suggested to go to Amidala, we thought it wasn’t a serious invite but then we already found ourselves walking in circles and asking strangers how to get there and viola! Continue Reading…
