Twenty Three Things I Learned in Life by Twenty Three

November 17, 2015

Cheers to my personal new year! This is really a thing, I guess to bloggers, to post things you have learned and realized personally on birthdays. So, yeah, I just turned twenty three. I don’t really celebrate my birthday much with all the cakes and stuff, still a lousy birthday as before but no words can explain how thankful I am to reached this age. Turning twenty three is really an achievement. 23 kind of feel so awkward just like when I turned 13. You know, starting your teen years. The difference is, batch mates are starting their own families, posting rants about their marriage life and plans for their career and I’m just here, loving food. Kidding. I also posted a birthday post on my previous blog last year and reading it now kinda bring back memories of how I blog before. Every minor and major events in my twenty three years of walking on the earth’s crust has taught me what life is and has brought me the idea of coming with this list of awesome things, be it rewarding or disappointing. Life, bring it on!

  1. Savings are good but don’t deprive yourself. Be broke and happy. Scratch the good, Savings is the BEST! Kuripot people unite!
  2. Be happy being single and be happier when you are double, chos, if you’re in a relationship with someone.
  3. Stay weird and be who you really are. Personal mantra.
  4. The corporate world is a fucking political space. No matter what, don’t kiss ass, that will make you a human walking without a head to some people.
  5. Listing things makes your productive. Applies for me. Teehee
  6. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Never abuse the help, okay?
  7. Life will always be unfair. *Looks closely at my pay slip and the news and news and news*
  8. Ohana/Le famiglia/Family is forever. They come first in everything.
  9. Friends come and go. So just let go and refer to number 8.
  10. Real friends are so rare. So, refer to number 9 and 8.
  11. Sometimes the people you meet online are better than the people you rub shoulders with. Because refer to number 10.
  12. It’s okay to be envious on what you see online. But with moderation and make it an inspiration. E.g, Saw a friend on inta, vacationing to some unknown island, you get jealous, be inspired, save and go to that unknown island too. LOL.
  13. There will be critics on everything you do. But not all criticisms are hate and not all who praise you are fucking sincere. Some are lies, dude. Be careful.
  14. Trust is indeed a big word, every sense of it. Read my post last August.
  15. True love is letting go. Char. Letting go because he will never look your way, myself, my friend.
  16. Sleep is for the weak—STRONG. Always take a decent sleep. Please.
  17. Smile is powerful for making the world a better place.
  18. The joys of travelling alone. Yep, I did it, it was fun ans scary, yet so fulfilling.
  19. Be thankful every day. It’s a great reminder how beautiful life even if the world is rotten.
  20. Multitasking will never be a skill. Swear, well let’s just say, it’s hard to master it.
  21. Eating spicy food without touching your lips. I just learned that technique last month. I am learning to love spicy food now.
  22. Experiences are more valuable than the pictures and videos you take to post on social media. Because seriously, how can you enjoy a moment when you’re holding a device. Do not over document things.
  23. You are amazing than you think. I am beautiful, smart and cool than I think. *slaps face*

I end this post with a random derping photo. Looking at this reminds me of The Scream by Munch. This was not on purpose. Swear.

This is a great list. I agree about number 20. Multitasking makes me do things longer.
